I have several "preexisting conditions" and the doctors all said I'd die if I got covid. But we were dealing with overwhelming anxiety by staying isolated. We did the unthinkable: living as though covid didn't exist.

Here are 10 things you can do to prepare:

  1. Prepare ahead of time (If it’s too late for that, it’s ok move to the next step)
  2. Stay calm
  3. Assess your needs in the beginning 
  4. Ask for the help you need (yes, it’s uncomfortable, but you can do it)
  5. REST -  Rest even when you feel a twinge of energy, because your body needs every bit of energy to fight.
  6. Drink fluids even if you’re not thirsty. Eat healthy foods even if you’re craving that junk food, because your body needs healthy fuel.
  7. Find things that make you laugh, it really does help.
  8. Stay away from things that upset you. 
  9. Wait. 
  10. Have faith.
